We won the commission to design the new gatehouse for Prices Court having after being shortlisted and impressing the judges with at interview stage. The project brief is to create a new Gate House for an existing community of 123 flats which abuts the river Thames in Battersea. The new building will provide function for a Porter, Reception and Deliveries as well as Pedestrian and Vehicle entrances. The design in progress makes use of a sympathetic material palatte, whilst referencing the site’s candle making history through a meticulous lighting concept to create a delicate proposal. The final design will reinstate Prices Court’s presence on a rapidly changing street scene; as the local proximity and wider Battersea area undergo significant development.
